Subdued, American Flag
patches are worn by U.S. military troops on their camouflage uniforms. Red, white and blue would stand out too much, so tan and green themes are
utilized instead.
Note: Whereas "subdued" flags are not "legal" per
Federal regulations, they present less of a target to our men and women in
harm's way around the world. My buddy Gregg who is a US Army Master Sergeant
told me that the Red White and Blue flags can easily draw the eye of enemy
combatants and the troops look for subdued flags all the time. I'll take
the hit for any concerns about our use and distribution of subdued flags.
